§ 2-303. Commencement of office after November general election.

(a)

Effective upon the adoption of this article, the mayor shall be elected at the November general election of any biennial cycle on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November and that the term of office shall commence on the following first day in January thereafter upon their qualification to serve and shall end on December 31.

(b)

Effective upon the adoption of this article, the members of the town council shall be elected at the November general election of any quadrennial cycle on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November and that their respective term of office shall commence on the following first day in January thereafter upon their qualification to serve and shall end on December 31.
