§ 2-304. Continuation in office until successors elected.

Except as provided by section 2-305 below, no term of the mayor or member of the town council shall be shortened in implementing the change from the May to November election date. The mayor and members of the town council who were elected at a May general election and whose terms are to expire as of June 30 shall continue in office until their successors have been elected at the November general election and have been qualified to serve.
