§ 2-305. Biennial and quadrennial election dates.

  • (a)

    The biennial general election date is changed to the November biennial general election date in an odd-numbered year from the May general election date in an even-numbered year, and shall result in such mayor who was elected at a May even-numbered year general election shall have their term of office shortened by six months but shall continue in office until their successors have been elected at the November general election and have been qualified to serve.

    (b)

    The quadrennial general election date is changed to the November quadrennial general election date in an odd-numbered year from the May general election date in an even-numbered year, and shall result in such member of the town council who were elected at a May even-numbered year general election shall have their term of office shortened by six months but shall continue in office until their successors have been elected at the November general election and have been qualified to serve.
