The mayor shall be elected on the first Tuesday, after the first Monday in November
and the term of office shall commence on the following first day in January for a
period of two years upon qualification to serve. The election of the mayor in 2016
shall be moved from the first Tuesday in May of that year and be held on the first
Tuesday after the first Monday in November of that year and the term of office shall
commence on the first day of January 2017, for a period of two years upon qualification
to serve.
