§ 66-13. Driving through funeral or other processions; manner of driving in funeral processions.

(a)

No operator of a vehicle shall drive between the vehicles, persons or animals comprising a funeral or other authorized procession, except when otherwise directed by a police officer. This subsection shall not apply to specified emergency vehicles as defined in Code of Virginia, § 46.2-920.

(b)

Each driver in a funeral procession shall drive as near to the righthand edge of the roadway as is practicable and shall follow the vehicle ahead as close as is practicable and safe.
